So what exactly makes a phone a "Xfinity phone"? Is it more than the firmware?

What makes my unlocked device not compatible with Xfinity? I currently have a Galaxy S8+ and a Note8 and have really been thinking about switching services to Xfinity. I'm too attached to my recently purchased devices to just throw them out right now. What makes a Xfinity device an Xfinity device?

What do they do to phones to make them Xfinity? Would I be able to flash my device with Odin and make the device fully functional with Xfinity or no?

Been very tempted to take a try but thought I'd make account on here to see other's opinions about the matter or if it was a waste of time to try to make these devices work on their network.

Thanks for your time and info
