I got myself a new HTC on M8 upgrading from the galaxy S3.
I moved a lot of pictures / music ect on the SD card and put it into my new phone. Some of the pictures i no longer wanted and went to delete them with QuickPick, I have recenly found out the latest version of android doesnt allow quickpick to delet form the memory card.
I have to move them to the internal storage then delete them. same with music.
Im not sure why there is this restriction i read that it was a security feature.. . But what i wanted to clarify was although other 3rd part programs are unable to delete from the memory card. Stock applications can do this without a problem.. The HTC galary can access my memory card and delete files from there. Same with music.
Does that mean that there is hope for future 3rd party apps to develope with the same access rights that the stock apps have to access the memory card?
