I bought an ATT tab E off a friend. He's disconnecting the tablet from service and taken the SIM card out. I did a factory reset on it. I went to login with his information and it says "can not login 24 hours after password reset". I wait 24 hours try again and it fails. I can not get the account to work, but I can sign in with it on chrome and through the email app on the tablet. I used the bluetooth bypass to get to that screen. I also can't get google to help me look up anything on the "need help finding your account screen". I'm wondering if it's not the SIM card missing during factory reset that's causing this. It seems like it's not even getting information sent to it. Not sure where to go from here. Any recommendations would be helpful. I have pictures of the conversation to prove it's not stolen, if that helps.
